Engineering Webinar For 5th-8th Graders

This 60 minute engineering webinar is an introduction to engineering to 5th-8th graders with an interactive lecture and activities + drills to understand key concepts and to have fun!

Contents of this webinar:

1) Types of engineering
2) Key q’s to ask when assessing a product/system
3) What engineering really is + definition
4) Scientific theory from an engineering standpoint
5) 4 themes of engineering and more

Engineering can seem like a daunting and complicated subject. But fundamentally it is about using science, math, technology, and creativity to solve problems. My goal is to help kids build that foundation and be able to, in simple terms, understand how basic engineered systems work.

Future lectures include:

1) Home construction
2) Water purification
3) Internal combustion engine
4) Traffic engineering and more!

Charges: $20 per attendee. Parents are welcome to sit and watch or even join in on the fun!

60 MINUTE “WRITING REBOOT” WEBINAR FOR 8-12 Year Old

In this 60 minute webinar, we will do interactive activities and drills to boost writing skills and to get those creative juices flowing! Activities range from speed-writing drills to story writing and drafting to using interesting vocabulary words to make puns.
